Orientation Part II: Training on Organizing and Leadership

I had the opportunity to engage in highly productive conversations with a diverse membership of future leaders from three different community-based organizations, including South Bronx Churches, Manhattan Together, and Together Because. In hearing these varied, but nevertheless concordant voices, I felt my own anger in the face of injustice echoed in a new chorus, and I left the training with a renewed sense of purpose and a clear manifesto: individually, we must all become leaders but only together can we lead.

On Monday night, Together Because joined Metro-IAF leaders in packing the basement of Most Holy Redeemer-Nativity Church for a 3-hour training on Broad-Based Organizing and Leadership!

Absolutely incredible to see some of the new people who only met us the day before at Part I of our orientation return for back-to-back days with Together Because!
